GENERAL INFORMATION
ACTIBAS naturally occurring fungus isolated from soil and insects. It contains spores of three native strains of Beauveria bassiana, effective against pests such as thrips, whiteflies, aphids, mites and others of the orders Coleoptera and Lepidoptera.
The ACTIBAS conidia adhere to the insects' cuticle where they germinate and penetrate inside, colonizing and releasing various types of enzymes (chitinases, cutinases) which produce histolysis of the tissues, softening them and allowing the infection of the fungus.
Within the circulatory system of the insect, the fungus colonizes the body and releases secondary metabolites that affect the different physiological activities and vital organs of the insect until paralysis and death in a period of time of three to eight days. |
