GENERAL INFORMATION

Azufral is a mixture of calcium polysulfide formed by reaction of calcium hydroxide with sulfur used in the control of pests, mites, algae, lichens and prevention of diseases in agriculture. It usually occurs in aqueous solution reddish-yellow color and a characteristic odor of hydrogen sulphide hydroxide.

It has fungicidal activity acting directly or decomposition releasing elemental sulfur. It also acts as an insecticide softening the wax of scale insects and is recognized acaricidal properties.

Azufral acts by inhibiting spore germination of conidia affecting production; as demonstrated in the case of cocoa moniliasis therefore decreases fungus infection on the fruit. In general the mode of action of this product is by contact, in the case of pests is multisite (nonspecific action) and destroys fungi resistance structures before germination.

Due to the characteristics of efficiency and minimal environmental impact of the product Azufral is allowed in certified organic production.

STORAGE
Azufral should be stored in its original sealed packaging in a cool, dry and shady place. In these hard conditions 12 months after formulated.

PREPARATION
Fill with water a third of the tank, and the agitation system running, add the Azufral necessary and complete the missing volume with water. Spray machines use components which, in contact with the solution, other than copper. Sprays systems must possess pressure pump, so that the liquid forms a very fine mist to penetrate the central parts of the plant.

COMPATIBILITY
Azufral is phytotoxic to sulfur sensitive crops such as cucurbits, raspberries, etc. It is incompatible with mineral and vegetable oils. It should not be applied in warm weather for burns. It is a corrosive product and should be applied with the appropriate machinery should be washed thoroughly after treatment ended. TERM SAFETY
No qualifying period required, but is recommended to use minimum protective equipment for spraying the product on crops. For better effectiveness of the product consult our technical department.
