GENERAL INFORMATION
BIOLEC It is a product for agricultural use composed of selected strains of Lecanicillium lecanii with a wide spectrum for the control of arthropods, parasitic nematodes and plant pathogens.
BIOLEC acts as an entomopathogenic agent through the germination and penetration of the spores in the insect's cuticle, they pass to the hemocele (circulatory system) where a mycelial mass is formed by the growth of the fungus and invades all tissues; in addition, toxins are released that affect the development of the insect.
BIOLEC has the ability to control nematodes such as the infection of the eggs of the root nematode Meloidogyne incognita and Globodera sp. Cysts. Likewise, BIOLEC has Lecanicillium lecanii strains have activity against some phytopathogenic fungi such as powdery mildew, rust and Pythium due to the effects of antibiosis and mycoparasitism. In the case of rusts, it has the ability to degrade the walls of uredospores and teliospores and feed on them.
